Are you a Master’s student with a biomechanics background looking for an internship project? Join our international team to explore how the brain encodes hand gestures and contribute to advancing Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology for people with severe paralysis.
What you’ll do:
🖖 Analyze motion capture data from hand gestures using the AnyBody Technology A/S musculoskeletal model of the hand
📈 Extract gesture-specific kinetic and kinematic activity patterns
🧠 Dive into fMRI analysis on hand gesture data
Duration: ~9 months (unpaid, possibility to apply for Erasmus+).
Location: Primarily at OTH Regensburg, with the option to spend several weeks at the UMC Utrecht.
Supervision: Sebastian Dendorfer (Laboratory for Biomechanics, OTH Regensburg), Mariana P Branco & Maria Grillini-Kromm (UtrechtBCI).
