ABOUT Mathijs
Dr. Mathijs Raemaekers, PhD (2006), is a senior researcher specializing in neuroimaging and brain function. His extensive work encompasses imaging studies across diverse neurological conditions, including vision, motor function, stroke, schizophrenia, and brain tumors. A primary focus of his research is to advance the clinical application of fMRI and DTI. He is the developer of the Cgrid and SimDTI toolboxes, computational tools for imaging data analysis. Currently, his research investigates the potential of motor areas for Brain-Computer Interfacing (BCI) and utilizes imaging data to evaluate patient suitability for BCI implantation.
