ABOUT Malinda
Malinda graduated in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience specialization Cognitive Neuroscience (MSc) and in Psychology and Neuroscience (BSc) at Maastricht University. She obtained her Bachelor of Education at Fontys Hogeschool Pedagogiek in Eindhoven.
In the Utrecht-BCI Lab she is the flowmanager and a research assistant, and is focused on patient contact, data acquisition and data management in research on implanted neurotechnology (e.g. Utrecht Neuroprosthesis project). Also, she is a scanner operator and analyses clinical fMRI-scans.
Currently, she investigates the feasibility of electrical stimulation to evoke facial expressions (non-verbal communication).
Besides, she makes graphical designs (such as logos, scientific illustrations and playful materials on neuroscience) for the Utrecht-BCI Lab, NeuroSAFARI Lab and BreinSteiners.
