ABOUT ME
I am dedicated to bring implantable neurotechnology to a wide range of patient groups. I am the technology lead on all implantable Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) studies at the UMC Utrecht. In the first study with locked-in patients, one participant used the BCI at home for 7 years. With even better hardware and software possibilities, implantable neurotechnology will be of use for an ever increasing number of patient groups. Therefore, I also work on software development, on neuromodulation for epilepsy patients and on design of better electrodes with other institutes.
I have received a MSc in Biomedical Sciences and a PhD in electrophysiology.
