Elena Offenberg
ABOUT Elena
Elena Offenberg obtained a BSc in Applied Computer Science with a specialization in Computational Neuroscience as well as a BSc & MSc in Physics from the Georg-August University Göttingen. She combines the knowledge of physical origins of brain signals with advanced machine learning techniques and applies them to the design of Brain-Computer Interfaces. Her goals are to improve speech decoding in BCIs for individuals with communication problems and to further the understanding of speech processing in the brain. Her research is part of the Dutch Brain Interface Initiative. In 2025, she was a visiting PhD student at the UC Davis Neuroprosthetics Lab in California.
