ABOUT Anouck

Anouck works as a postdoctoral researcher at the UtrechtBCI lab. She works directly with people implanted with ECoG electrodes who are participating in BCI training sessions at their homes, as well as on the implementation of this ECoG-BCI device for independent home use. Her research focuses on identifying factors that may limit reliable home use, both factors related to patient characteristics or their internal states, and external factors such as noise in the home. She holds a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Neuroscience and did her PhD at the UtrechtBCI lab, in which she used ECoG to investigate the engagement of the sensorimotor cortex during the perception and production of speech, relating the obtained knowledge to the development of speech BCIs.
